Group Vice President, Corporate Resources, Enbridge Inc.Ms. Bonnie DuPont is a senior executive with Enbridge Inc., a leading company in energy transportation and distribution. She has diverse experience and significant accomplishments in information technology, human resources, public and government affairs, corporate secretarial/governance matters, as well as environmental, health & safety and corporate security issues. She is responsible for providing leadership for organizational change, assuring appropriate integration of new acquisitions, and achieving synergies in post acquisition, post deregulation organizations. Ms. DuPont holds a Bachelor’s degree (Great Distinction) from the University of Regina and earned her Master’s degree at the University of Calgary. She is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and a 2006 graduate of the ICD Corporate Governance College, Directors’ Education Program. She is also a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and is a member of the International Women’s Forum. Ms. DuPont has extensive experience in regulated and de-regulating environments and possesses deep knowledge of the required organizational and structural responses, with specialized knowledge and skills in organizational change and employee relations. She is a Public and Government Affairs leader and is knowledgeable and experienced in 2 major Canadian sectors, Agri-Business and the Energy Industry. Ms. DuPont is a director of the Bank of Canada where she serves on the Executive Committee and chairs the Human Resources & Compensation Committee. She also serves on the Corporate Governance Committee. Ms. DuPont is a former Chair of CustomerWorks LP – a customer care organization – and a former director of the Canadian Wheat Board. She is a director of Viterra Inc. and serves on their Compensation & Governance Committees. She joined the UTS Board in May 2008 and serves on their Governance, Compensation & Nominating Committee. She is the Past-President of the Calgary Petroleum Club and serves on the Board of the University of Calgary and on its Executive Committee. Ms. DuPont was recognized by the Globe & Mail as one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada each year from 2003 including 2006. In 2007, she was inducted into the Top 100 Most Powerful Women Hall of Fame. In 2006, she was the recipient of the HRIA Award of Distinction, and was named one of Alberta’s 50 Most Influential People by Alberta Venture. She was named one of the Top 40 Alumni from the University of Calgary in celebration of the University’s 40th Anniversary in 2006. In June 2008, Ms. DuPont was the recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Regina. |
