These events presented an opportunity for board-ready women to be connected with board decision-makers. The goal of the CBDC is to increase the number of women serving on private and public sector boards over the next four years.

Our guest speakers addressed an audience of select female executives, Board Chairs and Nominating Committee Chairs and announced what it is we plan to do to make this happen. Canada has never seen so many board-ready women, and so we are presented with an excellent opportunity to improve board level diversity, and therefore create a more productive and competitive economy.

In November, the CBDC launched in three cities across Canada.
