Bob Elton is currently the Chair of Powertech Labs Inc.

Bob Elton was CEO of BC Hydro from November 2003 to December 2009. Before that he was Chief Financial Officer.  His career includes 5 years as Chief Financial Officer of Eldorado Gold Corporation, a mining company, and over 20 years with Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he was a partner from 1987 to 1996.

At BC Hydro, Bob focused on a balance of strong financial performance, leading environmental standards and building strong First Nations and Stakeholder relationships.

His current Board and Community involvements include: Director of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility, Vice Chair of Simon Fraser University; Director of the Board of Minerva Foundation for BC Women,  Chair of BC Immigrant Employment Council, and Director of Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions; and has an extensive career as a coach of women’s and girls’ soccer for over 25 years.

Mr. Elton holds a Master of Arts from Cambridge University, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and an ICD, Directors Education Program.
